Urban Mapping, Inc (UMI) is a leading provider of geospatial data and services. UMI's URBANWARE™ data products are offered via web services and regular updates, allowing access to our database and computation logic for neighborhoods, other informally-defined geographic regions and transit systems. Through UMI's various APIs, developers are able to take advantage of our industry-leading local search products.

Through this developer portal, code snippets, technical documentation and an interactive demo are available to help developers use UMI's products. You may register for the Free Neighborhood API and/or the Free Mass Transit Proximity API and read more about what we offer.

Getting Started

• Review the documentation for our Neighborhood, Mass Transit and Parking products.
• Register as a developer; this is a requirement for using any UMI web service.
• After registering, review the terms of use and get a key for the Free Neighborhood API and/or the Free Mass Transit Proximity API to begin using the neighborhoods database and/or mass transit databases.

• Contact UMI to learn about commercial terms for our products.
